The EFC U14 Zagreb Winter Classic, held on December 3rd, 2023, provided a platform for young foil fencers to demonstrate their skills and potential.
In the U-14 men's foil division, Serbian fencers dominated the competition, securing the top two spots on the podium. Rastko Cosic from Serbia claimed first place, followed by his compatriot Darko Mihailovic in second place. Corentin Richard-Besche from France and Vito Mihovec from Croatia shared third place.
The U-14 women's foil competition witnessed an outstanding performance by the French fencer, Kuzas Lena. Close behind, Garanina Sofiia from Cyprus displayed great determination and tenacity, earning the second spot on the podium. Croatian fencers, Kirincic Iva and Matic Tonka, showcased their skill and tenacity, finishing in a tied third place.
All of these young athletes demonstrated remarkable determination and skill. Hopefully, the EFC U14 Zagreb Winter Classic will serve as a platform for them to shine, paving the way for a promising future in the sport of foil fencing.
