Young Talents Shine at U14 European Circuit in Ljubljana
The U14 European Circuit continued its exciting journey with a foil tournament in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event attracted a wave of young and promising fencers from across Europe, eager to showcase their skills and claim the prestigious podium spots.
The competition, held at a high standard, demonstrated the depth of talent and commitment among these young athletes, setting the stage for the future stars of European fencing.
Boys’ U14: Romania and Great Britain on Top
The Boys’ U14 foil competition saw Rares Popescu of Romania deliver a stellar performance, securing the gold medal. His strategic fencing and sharp reactions ensured his top placement on the podium.
Silver went to Charles Stirling from Great Britain, whose determination and technical precision carried him through the challenging rounds.
The bronze medals were claimed by Cristian Avizzano of Italy and Andri Helmig of Germany, both showcasing exceptional talent and grit throughout the event.
Girls’ U14: Italian Fencers Dominate
The Girls’ U14 foil category was marked by an impressive display from Italian fencers, who dominated the podium. Vittoria Gasparini led the charge, taking gold with her outstanding skill and composure under pressure.
Her compatriot Allegra Brugnera claimed silver, while the bronze medals went to another Italian, Aurelia Orzu, and Romania’s Catrinel Dubau, both of whom fought valiantly to reach the final stages.
