France is European Champion in women's foil, women's epee and men's sabre. The foil quartet, composed of Lacheray Eva, Marechal Jade, Rousseau Marion and Tajan Morgane, is confirmed, for the second consecutive year, on the roof of Europe.
The path to victory was perfect. In fact, the number 4 in the ranking had never given up hope: starting from the first match in the tableau of 8 against Hungary (Kollar Anna, Nekifor Erika, Poltz Anna, Wolf Eszter) and then beat the number 1 of the ranking, Italy (Cantarini Lucrezia, Ciampalini Vittoria, Cristino Anna, Lorenzi Margherita) 45-25.
In the final match the French team imposed itself on Ukraine (Myroniuk Daria, Petrova Kristina, Poloziuk Alina and Sopit Olga), arrived at the last clash after two heart-pounding matches: first with Poland (Lawska Magdalena, Olszewska Amelia, Wieczorek Aleksandra, Zurawska Karolina), winning 43-40, then with Romania (Corbu Emilia, Dinca Andreea, Saveanu Anca, Vasile Karina) 41-40.
Completing the podium was Italy, which surrendered only to the French team. In fact, in the match for the bronze medal they won against Romania 44-39.
