Conrad, Francillonne, Lauvray and Sersot beat Poland in the final

On the first day of team competitions, France won gold in the women’s epee. Alice Conrad, Oceane Francillonne, Emma Lauvray and Jade Sersot, the number 2 of the event, first overtook Great Britain (Barnes Rachel, Black Abagael, Lever Rachael, Powell Alexandra) 45-25 in the Tableau of 16, then won with Ukraine (Conrad Emili, Haidai Lyudmila, Lazarenko Olexandra, Maksymenko Anna) without difficulty in the quarter finals. In the assault for the final also Hungary (Gnam Tamara, Kardos Edina, Toth Jazmin, Wimmer Dorina) was stopped by the French team, 45-31. The European Title instead was won after a fight point by point with Poland (Brych Barbara, Janelli Zofia, Klasik Alicja, Klughardt Gloria): on the threshold of the last match the two finalists were 24-24. Jade Sersot then managed to impose herself in the final assault, closing the score at 34-30.

Italy (Kowalczyk Sara Maria, Pizzini Alessia, Rossatti Emilia, Traditi Gaia) won the bronze medal: the number 1 in the ranking, was beaten by Poland in the semi-final 41-34, but then recovered with Hungary and won the third place.
