New arrangement of the FIE Calendar had clear impact on participation in tournament in Moedling. Especially 84 fencers in women´s epee, 100 fencers in men´s epee and 87 in men´s foil showed how strong can be U23 competitions in period where senior World cup and satellite competitions are absents. Should be mentioned mainly strong teams coming from France, Russia and Italy. Then the winners in respective weapons were: A. Krieger (SUI) , followed by A. Clerici (ITA), N. Moeschlin (SUI) and R. Multerer (GER) in women´s epee; J. Mahringer (AUT) followed by O. Knysch (RUS), D. Paulouski (BLR) and F. Leone (ITA) in men´s epee; O. Wohlgemuth (AUT) followed by C. Catarzi (ITA), W. Kim (AUT) and M. Cammiletti (ITA) in women´s foil; P. Loisel (FRA) followed by M. Lechner (AUT), F. Quagliotto (ITA) and C. Serri (SVK) in men´s foil.
