The last two individual competitions took place on the third day of U23 European Championships in Plovdiv, introducing men's foil and women's saber.
Borodachev Kirill gained gold in men's foil, representing Russian, when he destroyed Italian Filippi Davide in the final 15:5 and his teammate Bianchi Guillame in the semifinal 15:7. The third place took also Roger Wallerand (FRA).
Women's saber ended with success and first medal for Azerbaijan represented by Bashta Anna, who defeated Lucarini Lucia (ITA) in the final. Podpaskova Evgenia (RUS) and Kaspiarovich Palina (BLR) both took bronze.
