Thrills in EFC Circuits

Over the weekend, thrilling EFC competitions took place across Europe. The Cadet Circuit tournaments held in Copenhagen, Denmark; Cabries, France; Eislingen, Germany; as well as the U14 competition in Ljubljana, Slovenia, provided a vibrant stage for talented athletes to demonstrate their exceptional abilities.

The recent Epee Cadet Circuit held in Copenhagen, Denmark, witnessed a remarkable display of competitiveness, as a staggering total of 432 fencers vied for victory in the men's and women's divisions. It was Kerkko Jarvi from Finland who claimed the top spot in men’s epee. Ettore Leporati from Italy finished in second place, closely followed by Noam Duchene from France and Rayan Rami Rozpide from Spain, who shared the third-place rank.

Meanwhile, in the women's epee division of the Epee Cadet Circuit in Copenhagen, Silvia Gomez Lopez from Spain demonstrated her exceptional talent, ultimately taking the gold. Cagla Aytekin from Germany gave a commendable performance, securing second place. Judith Roman from France and Linnea Eriksson from Sweden arrived third.

In the team events at the Epee Cadet Circuit in Copenhagen, Denmark, it was Ukraine who demonstrated exceptional synchronicity and secured the top spot. Italy displayed their depth of talent by claiming both second and third places with their teams Italy I and Italy II respectively. In the women's team event, Italy continued their dominance, emerging as the victors. Germany secured a well-deserved second place, while Ukraine demonstrated their strength and claimed the third spot on the podium.

Moving on to the Cadet Circuit Foil event in Cabries, France, it was a dominant performance by the American fencers in the men's category. Richard Li secured the gold, with Don Jeidus Deseranno finishing as the runner-up. Ulisse Parpeyrat Fournel from France and Jacob Lee from the United States got third places.

In the women's division of the Cabries Foil event, Jaelyn Liu from the United States emerged as the champion. She was closely followed by Emily Jing, also from the United States, in second place. Viviene Goor, another talented American fencer, shared third place with Erika Iwatachibana from Japan, showcasing the international nature of the competition.

The Cadet Circuit Sabre event in Eislingen, Germany, witnessed exciting bouts and fierce competition. Silas Choi from the United States claimed the top position in the men's division, while Leonardo Reale from Italy secured second place. Italian fencers Massimo Sibillo and Valerio Reale shared third place, highlighting their country's strength in sabre fencing.

In the women's Sabre event, Vittoria Mocci from Italy took home the gold, showcasing her agility and precision. Aria Bevacqua and Hannah Lee from the United States secured second and third place, respectively. Carmen Wullus from France also displayed her talent, sharing third place with Lee.

Hungary dominated the men's team event in Sabre, securing the top spot. Spain claimed second place, while an Italian-Greek mixed team took third place. In the women's team event, Team USA 3 clinched victory, followed by Team USA in second and Hungary in third.

Lastly, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, young fencers showcased their skills in the U14 Foil event. Hakob Manukyan from Armenia clinched the gold in the men's category, while Darko Mihailovic from Serbia and Vito Mihovec from Croatia shared third place. Olivera Budisin from Serbia emerged as the champion in the women's division, with Marte Iwersen from Germany arriving second. Laura Vladic Reis from Croatia and Lina Zhukovska from Slovenia got third places.
