Call for Volunteer Safeguarding Officers

The European Fencing Confederation (EFC) is seeking male volunteers to join our dedicated team of Safeguarding Officers. While we currently have strong representation from female officers, we strive to achieve a better gender balance to effectively serve our diverse fencing community. 

Role of a Safeguarding Officer 

Safeguarding Officers play an essential role at EFC events, ensuring the safety, well-being, and protection of all participants. This is a volunteer position, and selected officers will be called upon to serve at various competitions and events throughout the year. 

Requirements for Candidates 

To be eligible for this role, applicants must fulfill the following mandatory requirements

  • Completion of certified Safeguarding training from an accredited institution 

  • Strong English language proficiency (both verbal and written) 

  • Commitment to upholding safety and integrity within the fencing community 

  • Availability to attend selected EFC events 

While we welcome applications from fencers and former fencers, we also encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about sports safety to apply.

  • Relevant certifications 

  • Language proficiency details 

  • Availability for EFC events
