On the weekend of 2 and 3 October 2021, the EFC started the new season with tournaments in Cadets Circuit. Considering seriously complicated situation with Covid 19 epidemy, we are very happy how successful was that start, when in 5 competitions (except men´s foil all other weapons started) 735 fencers step on the pistes in Godollo, Budapest (both HUN) and Samorin (SVK) coming from 29 countries (28 from Europe and Costa Rica). Special measure was taken by the EFC when Covid 19 supervisors - G. Boczko in Budapest, B. Soproni-Szabo in Godollo and J. Kralik in Samorin - carefully observed the application of the recently adopted EFC Covid 19 Regulation. The EFC Referees Commission designated delegates for the evaluation of referees who provided seminars for referees, so that way the fencing in the EFC took its standard operation allowing to young fencers finally come out from trainings and compete. The organizers in Samorin took also special effort for reminding participants of the 30th anniversary of the EFC by panels, souvenirs and prices for the finalists as it can be seen in attached pictures. Hopefully also Budapest and Godollo will send some pictures from both well known sites of fencing. (J. Kralik supervisor in Samorin)
