The cadets teams events started in Foggia with a great success of Hungary, that gained medals in all three competitions, eventually gaining the title in two of them.
In women's epee, Hungary prevailed after defeating Poland in semifinal and Ukraine in the final. Bronze medal was taken by Poland that def Russia in the third place match.
Hungary also dominated women's saber competition, where their opponent in the semifinal was Turkey and Russia in the final. Turkey was defeated by Italy in the bronze medal match.
Men's foil competition brought more luck to Russia as they defeated France in the final, after facing Hungary in the semi. Hungary then finished third competition with yet another medal defeating Great Britain in a match for bronze.
