EFC PROPOSAL TO SUPPORT NATIONAL FEDERATIONS & EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANISERS
In relation to upcoming major EFC tournaments to held this season and the challenging situation many member federations face, the EFC President submitted a proposal to support its stakeholders and organisers of European events in Novi Sad (SRB), Tallinn (EST) and Antalya (TUR). In addition to this, the President additionally proposed to financially support a number of National Federations. All monies were to be allocated from the special “President’s Fund”.
Despite the evident timeliness of the proposed support, the majority of the EFC’s Comex members voted against the proposals. Members of the Board decided only to support assistance to the Ukrainian Fencing Federation and organisers of the European Championship events to be held in 2022, namely in Novi Sad, Tallinn and Antalya.
