On Tuesday 26 January, President of the European Fencing Confederation, Giorgio Scarso, visited Montenegro to meet with local sports and government authorities: the President of the Olympic Committee, the Minister of Sport, the Official in charge of the recognition of Federations and the President of the Montenegro Fencing Federation.
The visit met with much appreciation among authorities, who complimented the attention of the EFC towards their country, which is not yet part of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) but it will be in the short term. In particular, the Minister of Sport underlined how few times representatives of institutions have shown this particular attention and support, visiting them.
