President Giorgio Scarso, on January 8th, 2023, met in Tirana with the President of the Albanian Olympic Committee, Fidel Ylli, and the Deputy of the Ministry of Education and Sport, Endrit Hoxha, to discuss the reactivation of the Albanian Fencing Federation, whose activity had been stopped for reasons related to time management. This decision found the very favourable opinion of the two Albanian Authorities present. During the meeting, President Scarso, talked about the modality and the bureaucratic process necessary to realize the project; also he shared any support initiatives by the European Confederation and by the other Member Countries, giving Albania the opportunity to keep up with the other Nations, and be recognized by the International Fencing Federation (FIE).
President Fidel Ylli and Deputy Endrit Hoxha have shown their interest and willingness to restart the fencing activity in the Albanian territory, hoping for its updating in a short time. This occasion gave the possibility to President Scarso to understand the excellent job and the availability to collaborate not only on the part of the President of the Olympic Committee, but also on the part of his whole staff. The EFC President had also the possibility to observe and take note of all the sport facilities realized in the last years in the Albanian territory. Fencing is not yet present within the Nation, but there are all the necessary conditions to be so.
The visit in Tirana was very cordial and fruitful and it is included in the promotional program of Fencing within the Balkan territory. The Confederation's mission is to promote fencing in places where it is not yet practised, giving the possibility to do so. The activation of these relations by President Giorgio Scarso is an important step towards the realization of the promotional purpose of the sport of fencing within the territory of the European Confederation.

L'escrime sera bientôt en Albanie. Le Président Mr Scarso a rencontré le Président du Comité Olympique Albanais et l'Adjoint du Ministère de l'Éducation et des Sports.
Le 8 janvier 2023 le Président Monsieur Scarso, a rencontré à Tirana le Président du Comité Olympique Albanais, Fidel Ylli, et l'Adjoint du Ministère de l'Éducation et des Sports, Endrit Hoxha, pour discuter de la réactivation de la Fédération Albanaise d'Escrime, dont l'activité a été arrêtée pour des raisons liées à la gestion du temps. Cette décision a recueilli l'avis très favorable des deux autorités albanaises présentes. Au cours de la réunion, le Président Scarso a illustré la modalité et l'iter bureaucratique nécessaires pour réaliser le projet, il a également partagé toutes les initiatives de soutien de la Confédération européenne et des autres pays membres, donnant à l'Albanie la possibilité de suivre les autres nations et d'être reconnue par la Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE). Le Président Fidel Ylli et l'Adjoint Endrit Hoxha ont manifesté leur intérêt et leur volonté de relancer l'activité d'escrime sur le territoire albanais, et qu'elle pourra être de nouveau pratiquée rapidement. Cette rencontre a donné l'occasion au Président Scarso de comprendre l'excellent travail et la disponibilité à collaborer non seulement de la part du président du Comité Olympique, mais aussi de la part de l'ensemble de son personnel. Le Président de l'EFC a également eu la possibilité d'observer et de prendre note de toutes les installations sportives réalisées ces dernières années sur le territoire albanais.
L'escrime n'est pas encore présente dans la Nation, mais toutes les conditions nécessaires sont déjà presentes.
La visite à Tirana a été très cordiale et fructueuse et elle est insérée dans le programme pour promouvoir l'escrime dans les territoires des Balkans. La mission de la Confédération est de promouvoir l'escrime dans les endroits où elle n'est pas encore pratiquée, en donnant ainsi la possibilité de le faire. Grâce à aux différentes relations développées par le Président Scarso, une étape importante vers la réalisation de l'objectif promotionnel du sport de l'escrime sur le territoire de la Confédération européenne à été complété.
