Foil and Sabre Open the Show on Day I of the European Championships
The wait is over — the European Fencing Championships 2025 officially begin today in Genova, Italy! The Ligurian capital is ready to welcome Europe’s finest fencers, and Day I promises to start the event with a burst of adrenaline.
Day I opens with Women’s Foil Individual, starting at 09:00, launching the competition with speed, precision, and flair. Later, at 12:00, it’s time for the explosive Men’s Sabre Individual, promising thrilling attacks and lightning-fast reflexes.
The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 17:45, followed by the first gold medal clashes of the week at 18:20. Expect a mix of rising stars and experienced champions — and possibly a few surprises.
