In London the Safeguarding course
The initiatives of the Solidarity Programme continue: this weekend the Safeguarding course was held in London, organized by British Fencing. The participants were 12, coming from different European Nations: Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, North Macedonia, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden. COMEX representatives also chaired the seminar.
The experience was hosted by Hilary Philbin, on behalf of the EFC and on behalf of British Fencing. Speakers were Georgina Usher, British Fencing CEO/Secretary General & FIE Safeguarding Officer and Liz Behnke, British Fencing Safeguarding Lead
In a climate of growth, collaboration and exchange, in line with the objectives and values of the Solidarity Programme, the participants all worked well together and achieved the dual objectives of developing their Safeguarding expertise alongside their European friendships.
