Over the weekend, the cadet fencing circuits were in full swing, captivating enthusiasts from around the world. Three cities, Krakow, Sofia, and Prague, hosted the Cadet's Circuits in epee, foil, and sabre respectively. Let's take a closer look at the results and the amazing performances by the young fencers.

 

In Krakow, Poland, the  Cadet's Circuit for epee witnessed intense battles in both individual and team events. The men's epee individual category showcased exceptional talent, with Finland's Jarvi Kerkko clinching the gold medal, followed closely by Ukraine's Gula Maksym in second place. The bronze medal was shared by Switzerland's Squieri Juliano Nicola and Italy's Gera Riccardo.

 

The women's epee individual category also witnessed top-notch performances, with Ukraine dominating the podium. Sereda Mariia claimed the gold medal, while her compatriots Sych Tamara got second and Dmytruk Alina tied for the bronze. Azerbaijan's Hasanli Khadija also secured third place, showcasing her skill amidst tough competition.

 

In the men's epee team event, Ukraine emerged victorious, showcasing their strength as a unit. Switzerland secured the second position, while the host nation, Poland, showed their prowess to secure third place.

 

The women's epee team event saw another display of Ukraine's dominance. The Ukrainian team claimed the gold medal, Ukraine 3 got second place leaving behind competitors from other countries. Czech Republic secured a strong third-place finish, further adding to the excitement of the event.

 

Meanwhile, the Bulgarian city of Sofia held the Cadet Circuit for foil, providing an exhilarating contest for enthusiastic viewers. Hungary's Sommer Marcell emerged as the champion in the men's individual foil, followed closely by Ecuador's Aguinagaproc Ecu. The third place was shared by Hungary's Bodor Aron and Bulgaria's Polishev Danail, both showcasing their exceptional skills.

 

In the women's foil individual event, Poland's Kus Natasza secured the gold medal, followed by Turkey's Gulisik Elvin in second place. The third position was jointly shared by Michalina Bartol and Nowakowskaa, both representing Poland with remarkable performances.

 

Hungary proudly claimed first place in the men's foil team event, exemplifying their remarkable teamwork. Turkey secured the second position, followed by Ecuador, which showcased their growth in this discipline.

 

Similarly, the women's foil team event witnessed Poland's dominance, with the nation securing the gold medal. The Polish team had three impressive contingents, with Poland 3 earning the silver medal and Poland 2 finishing in third place.

 

Lastly, Prague, Czech Republic, hosted the Cadet Circuit for sabre, showcasing the agility and finesse of fencers in this category. In the men's sabre individual event, Germany's Maklakov Julian claimed the gold medal with a stellar performance. Bulgaria's Gospodinov Nikola secured the second position, while Ukraine's Skorokhod Daniil and Italy's Perna Giuseppe tied for the bronze medal.

 

The women's sabre individual event witnessed American dominance, with Irene Jung clinching the gold medal. Her compatriots Natalie Tsui, Carine Rose Festa, and Lila Paul secured second and shared third places, further solidifying the United States' esteemed reputation in this discipline.

 

In the men's sabre team event, Germany emerged as the champions, displaying impressive synergy as a collective. Italy got second and Azerbaijan third position, showcasing their talent in an exhilarating clash.

 

For women's sabre team, the United States' first contingent claimed the gold medal, Germany's second team demonstrated their prowess by securing second place, and the United States' third team completed the podium in third place.

 

In conclusion, the U14 Cadet's Circuits in epee, foil, and sabre held in Krakow, Sofia, and Prague over the weekend served as a testament to the growth and popularity of cadet fencing, providing young athletes with valuable opportunities to showcase their abilities on an international stage.
