Allegre, hatz AND TEAM sWITZERLAND 2 won the International Lausanne Fencing Challenge

In the 2023 edition of the International Lausanne Fencing Challenge Paul Allegre (FRA) won the men’s epee competition, defeating in final the Italian fencer, Jacopo Rizzi, 17 years old in the final. The Swiss fencers Lucas Malcotti and Elia Dagani achieved bronze medals.

On day 2, it was the turn of women’s epee individual and men’s epee team. Fiona Hatz (SUI) joyfully sang the Swiss national anthem celebrating her first victory in a European tournament. She won the finale against Flora Legros (FRA), silver medal, after a close match in semi-final. Emma Hauvray and Lidyane Hersant (FRA) won bronze.

Close and intense matches have been at the heart of a first men’s team competition in Lausanne international Fencing Challenge. The Switzerland 2 team won the tournament, beating the French team SAINT MAUR VGA 45-41, after first beating Switzerland 1.
