At the end of the European Cadets and Juniors Championships the ranking of the " Grand Prix of Nations " has been drawn up

At the end of the European Cadets and Juniros Championships, the President of the EFC Giorgio Scarso has made a relfection about the 8 days of competitions:

"First of all, the high number of participants should be emphasised. Although the situation within world fencing has a significant impact on the number of participants in Europe, record numbers have been reached for these Championships.

The medallists, both in Cadets and for Juniors, rewarded the Federations whose athletes showed greater experience in the final stages of the competition. They have won positions on the podium that give rise to a medal that deserves the attention and the appropriate praise.

Considering that the European fencing movement feeds on the participation of many athletes, not yet ready to access the final stages of competition, their performance deserves maximum attention.

In this sense, the ranking of the "Grand Prix of Nations" has been drawn up, not to highlight who is already gratified by the medallist ranking, but to have a complete picture of the European youth fencing movement in its entirety.

From the careful reading of this special ranking, emerge interesting data on the growth of many Federations that, although not included in the medals, highlight the interesting performance.

In presenting these figures, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the Federations included in the Grand Prix of the Nations, regardless of their position in the standings, and I would urge everyone to continue in the promotion ,effort, growth and diffusion of Fencing, thus highlighting the role of the European Confederation of Fencing that remains a global reference point."
